The park is located to the north of Qixing Mountain, faces the Keelung River to the south, starts from Nanhu Bridge to the east, and ends at Anmei Street to the west, covering an area of about 10 hectares, including a flat area and a small hill of about 40 meters. The small hill was originally retained during the clearance process, allowing the public to experience the first garbage mountain in the country, which has now been transformed into a beautiful restoration park, a reborn urban lung, and has also helped the Keelung River regain its clarity.
The park is divided into a restoration forest area, a recreation area, and a high floodplain area. The recreation area includes a sunny lawn, an activity plaza, a scenic plaza, a vision frame, and a viewing platform. The sunny lawn alone covers an area of more than 10,000 square meters, equivalent to 1.5 football fields. The public can relax, look up at the blue sky, and play freely here. There are as many as 162 species of plants and more than 41 species of animals in the park, making its natural ecosystem rich and diverse. Trees and shrubs such as Mora indica and Deutzia scabra attract large numbers of birds to nest in the Nangang Restoration Park. Following the ecological trail, you can enjoy the scenery along the way, and from the viewing platform, you can look out and see the Taipei 101, a world landmark, and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Taipei.
