Simplified Chinese Japanese English Korean Dragonfly Cave The attraction at this location holds geographical and historical significance; the east‑west oriented river valley terrain also serves as a sea fishing spot. Nearby, due to the valley’s topography, there are many shallow wells; during World War II it also functioned as a Wancheng anti‑aircraft shelter, where several caves were excavated for defensive purposes. Over time and through natural forces, most of these shelters have collapsed. The outer beach of Dragonfly Cave is pristine and tranquil, while the outer sea is blocked by a saddle‑shaped islet resembling a horse’s saddle; the two are about 600 meters apart. The “Military Guard Cave” inside Dragonfly Cave is a remaining historical relic of the area. During World War II, the Japanese forces enslaved the residents of Wancheng and Jiangjun islands, carving out the cave as a living space for torpedo boats and special attack squads. The project was left incomplete when Japan announced unconditional surrender, leading to the base’s abandonment. Many caves have collapsed, leaving only remnants. 【Suggested stay time】2 hours
