In 2011, Sheng-Hong Hosiery Factory transformed into a sightseeing factory. Inside, visitors can create their own DIY hosiery dolls and observe traditional hosiery machines, from manual to fully automated manufacturing processes. This allows the public to gain hands-on knowledge and understanding of the sock-making process and provides a deeper appreciation for Taiwan's traditional hosiery industry. The factory also offers a wide variety of products for sale. If visitors have any questions on-site, they can immediately ask the staff for clarification and find suitable and comfortable socks. In addition to selling socks, the factory has developed many new products, including the national flag scarf used by the President during the flag-raising ceremony at the Presidential Palace in 2010, which catapulted Sheng-Hong Hosiery to fame. Currently, Sheng-Hong Hosiery has designed more creative and symbolic Taiwanese scarves and other products, all of which are on display and for sale at the sightseeing factory.
