Le Pissenlit's chef, Jerry, who used to work at the Grand Hyatt hotel, returned to his hometown to start his own business, determined to subvert people's conventional impressions of French cuisine. He replaces the formal dining environment with a warm and cozy family kitchen atmosphere, and uses French techniques to interpret Taiwanese street food flavors, showcasing extraordinary creativity and humor. What appears to be a salad is called an oyster omelet, with tender cuttlefish and lettuce, and a raw oyster hidden at the bottom. When dipped in sauce, it tastes like an oyster omelet... The creamy spread on the bread wafts the aroma of beef rolls... The "crispy chicken" is actually thinly sliced chicken breast that has been pounded and flattened into a thin sheet. Putting aside the chef's playful creativity, his classic French dish, confit duck, has a great reputation in Chiayi. The chef and his family have cooked for underprivileged children at orphanages all over Taiwan, and during the pandemic, they even launched a voucher program to send warmth to those in need, showing their kindness.
