宜蘭縣五結鄉五十二甲橋附近一帶
Why is it called "Five-Two-Jia"? According to legend, it got its name because the land area of the early reclaimed land here was 52 "jia" (a unit of land measurement). The Five-Two-Jia Wetland was originally an old channel of the Dongshan River, with low-lying terrain that accumulated water all year round, forming a large grassy marsh. It has a very good paddy field environment and thus formed a unique and rich wetland ecosystem, which is a paradise for birds. Every winter, it attracts a large number of migratory birds to come and spend the winter, searching for food. The best time for bird-watching is from October to December and in the spring from April. Besides winter migratory birds, you can often see green-headed ducks, spoonbills, and egrets showing off their wings and landing here. Over the years, more than 100 species of birds have been recorded in the Five-Two-Jia Bird-Watching Area, and there are many special species such as gray geese, white-fronted geese, mandarin ducks, and black-necked swans. It is one of the must-visit holy places for bird enthusiasts! In addition to bird-watching, in recent years, this place has also become a secret summer flower destination. Because the past floods caused the earth embankment to collapse, farmers planted hundreds of Buddleja asiatica to protect the embankment. When the flowering season arrives, the Buddleja asiatica, which blooms at night, is like fireworks on the tree, colorful and dazzling, and the more beautiful it is at night. This summer night scene is loved by many travelers. The beauty of the Five-Two-Jia Wetland is suitable for all four seasons. You can take a leisurely bike ride around Lan Yang at any time of the year to enjoy the field and wetland scenery. In the summer, you can see the "beautiful woman for one night" - the fireworks show brought by Buddleja asiatica. In the autumn and winter, you can ride a bike along the bank to admire the autumn rice field scenery and natural ecological beauty, and especially don't miss the flight show and foraging show of winter migratory birds, visiting these lovely and elegant aerial elves.
