Owing to its frequent manifestation of divine assistance, safeguarding local communities and offering protection to its followers, it has become a vital center of faith. Major annual ceremonies include the Yuánxiāo Fahui (Lantern Festival), Zhōngyuán Fahui (Hungry Ghost Festival), and Xiàyuán Fahui, each drawing tens of thousands of participants, showcasing great splendor. The temple thrives with an abundance of incense and devoted followers. Regular charitable works are conducted to deliver relief and salvation to sentient beings and comfort people's hearts. Both the temple's Dizang Wang statue and the Ten King Yamaraja statues are ancient relics of significant value. Historically, the Dizang Temple's Jinhua Mountain Dizang Wang golden statue was brought to Taiwan by a devoted layman during the late Ming dynasty. The temple's construction began in 1697, when it was chosen as the site for enshrinement. The temple has been rebuilt several times. The current seven-story Lianhua Treasure Hall was rebuilt in 1971.
