In the early days of Taiwan, when resources were scarce, tea farmers often repurposed available fertilizer bags and flour sacks into large tea sacks. This gift box features a burlap bag that is a miniature version of those. It holds the historical marks of the agricultural cooperation organizations established during the Japanese colonial period and the premium tea advertisements designed by Sanxia artist Li Mei-shu. Its patchwork stacking of the Chinese-American cooperative flour sacks stitches together the tea history and unique local tea characteristics of Sanxia. Using Sanxia's finest Biluochun tea, tea pouches and tea egg rolls are crafted as a symbol of carrying forward the spirit of the Sanxia tea region, passing on the fragrant culture and perseverance generation after generation.
