桃園市大溪區普濟路21-3號
The Wood Life Hall (formerly General Chiang's Residence) carries a unique story of the past and was once a living space with a special story to tell. To continue showcasing the meaning of life, it has been transformed into the "Wood Life Hall," which combines the distinctive wooden craft culture of Daxi. The private living space of the past has been opened up and made public, allowing for the exchange and blossoming of craftsmanship, art, culture, and industry. The "Photosynthetic Space" is the first large room visitors enter, which was originally the reception area and guest room of the residence. Therefore, it is designed with a welcoming concept, featuring creations by local craft artisans that greet visitors. Audiences can engage in dialogue with the artworks, and the seeds of inspiration can sprout as if bathed in sunlight. Light refreshments are also available. The "Incubation Space" showcases various wooden furniture and art pieces that display the diverse aspects of life. Here, visitors can experience the messages conveyed by the artworks, allowing their inspiration to grow. The "New Life Space" is a room with a beautiful view of the Dahan River. It features creations by domestic and international artists centered around the "wood theme." The goal is for visitors to appreciate the diverse appearances of wood art, feel the beauty of wood life, and think about incorporating wooden elements into their daily lives, embracing a new wood life!
