The Lègèng Nóng Chamber Orchestra, centered on traditional Chinese music, is a distinguished local ensemble from Yunlin County that has cultivated the art of music for twenty years. Rooted in the community, it looks outward internationally, and is one of Yunlin’s most proactive teams in promoting musical art and culture. The orchestra began to sprout in Yunlin in January 2001. As “musical farmers,” it has deeply cultivated the neighborhood, starting from folk instruments and, through organic, diverse creation and performance, brought music into everyday life while balancing tradition and innovation. From its inception, the orchestra received the “Excellent Support Team” award from the Cultural Construction Committee and has twice been selected as a “Distinguished Performing Arts Team” of Yunlin County. Its performances span international, national, and regional music cultures, spreading the seeds of artistic aesthetics and advancing both macro‑ and micro‑level social beauty education, actively integrating music art into the public’s life.
