Along Provincial Highway 11, follow the winding road to reach the northernmost Hualien Visitor Center of the Eastern Seacoast Scenic Area, nestled on a hillside. Inside the visitor center on the hill, visitors will find exhibition rooms showcasing the region's natural and cultural resources, as well as information on key tourism destinations along the eastern coast, and a multimedia briefing room that accommodates 81 people. Before setting off to explore the eastern coast, visitors are encouraged to stop here for relevant travel information. Facing the vast Pacific Ocean, the Hualien Visitor Center offers an excellent view, allowing visitors to overlook the endless blue ocean and enjoy the magnificent sea scenery in front. From April to May, Red lilies (*Lilium formosanum*) bloom in full bloom on the hill near the visitor center. Walking along the surrounding scenic trails, visitors can admire the wave-like swaying meadows as the sea of flowers dances lightly in the breeze, creating an enchanting and picturesque scene. Heading north from the visitor center leads to Lingding Cape at the northern boundary of the Coastal Mountain Range, where one can enjoy the dramatic "Huilan" view where Hualien Creek meets the Pacific Ocean. As a historical name, Hualien Port was once known as "Huilan Port."
