Shinpu persimmon cakes have a history of over a century. Especially in Han-keng, the geographical environment is particularly arid, and coupled with Hsinchu's unique strong and dry autumn winds, it creates the best natural conditions for making persimmon cakes. We still follow the traditional methods of sun drying, wind drying with the autumn winds, and charcoal baking with wood to preserve the original sweet but not greasy and chewy good flavor. Sun-dried persimmon cakes are also the most beautiful scenery of autumn harvest. There are two persimmon trees planted on the hillside behind the farm, and visitors can visit, take pictures, and learn freely. Wei-Wei Chia Persimmon Cake Eco-Farm is well-known for its persimmon cake making and persimmon fruit ecology teaching. It fully demonstrates the process of making persimmon cakes, and even preserves over 200 persimmon trees without harvesting, in order to carry out ecological teaching activities. Every year after autumn, the mountains are filled with red persimmons. With the cooperation of the ecological environment, the scenery of "blue sky, yellow leaves" and "north wind blowing, persimmons red" is the best place for parent-child tours to deeply experience the persimmon orchard. There are also persimmon dyeing and persimmon cloth doll making here, which are fun and interesting!
