The whole family can enjoy extreme sports! The park is officially named "Municipal Sports Park", but it's commonly known as Gangping Sports Park since it's located in Gangping Village. Since its establishment, the park has been in high demand. With an area of 85,000 square meters, it can accommodate 3,200 people. After renovation and planning, the park now features tennis courts, basketball courts, soccer fields, ice skating rinks, children's playgrounds, and more. New facilities include an extreme sports area, a 120-space parking lot, a wooden ball field, and a hammer ball field. The newly built extreme sports area includes facilities such as a standing platform, a sliding platform, a slope, a semi-circular slope, a staircase, and a curved track. One of the major features of the park is the "extreme sports facility". To cater to the popularity of inline skating among young people, former Mayor Chen Lijin specifically instructed the construction of this facility. However, to ensure safety and accessibility, the difficulty level of facilities such as the sliding platform and curved track are set at a general level. During the construction process, the overall safety was coordinated and discussed with architects to ensure that the new extreme sports facilities are not too professional or difficult, so that they can be used by the general public. The thoughtful design of the park has also made it one of the suitable places for inline skating in Taiwan.
