Wutai Presbyterian Church is located in Wutai Village, Wutai Township. It was established in 1966 and features a cedar cross and stone carvings created by renowned artist Tu Ba-nan using local materials and the labor of the villagers. The church resembles a small castle and is the tallest wooden cross in Asia. Situated amidst the forested hills and mist, it appears to be a church in heaven, making it a must-visit attraction for travelers to Wutai. Upon entering the church, visitors can see two Western angel sculptures blowing trumpets on the roof. The church also features imagery of the Rukai people, including lilies, taipan snakes, and knives, showcasing their spirit and cooperative labor. It is recommended to spend about 30 minutes here, appreciating the beauty of this architecture. To enter Wutai Township, visitors must obtain a mountain entry permit, and type-A large buses are prohibited from entering.
