The Wind River is a waterway designated for international competitions, currently under the jurisdiction and maintenance of the "New Taipei City Government High Embankment Engineering Management Office." It is 1,200 meters long, 140 meters wide, and has a depth of up to 3 meters, divided into 8 channels. The boat channels are 13.5 meters wide, meeting international standards, allowing for international rowing and canoe slalom competitions. In addition to being used by athletes and students, some still water areas are also open to the general public for sailing, windsurfing, water skiing, and kayaking.
