The Tu Ba Nan Memorial Hall is located in Yanban Lane, Wutai Township. Tu Ba Nan was a national-level master of wood carving art. Many of the engraved totems of the Rukai people in Wutai were from his works. The art center, which specializes in collecting works, is currently managed by his son. Outside the memorial hall, there is a "Seat of Ancestor Spirits" where only men are allowed to sit. This chair is used to hang hunting knives and guns. It's important to note that women are absolutely not allowed to approach or sit on it. If the taboo is broken, the hunting knives and guns will never be able to hunt game again. This attraction is only open to overnight guests and requires advance reservation. Entering Wutai Township requires a mountain entry permit, and type-A large buses are prohibited. It's recommended to spend about 30 minutes here. Be sure to call ahead to reserve a visit to avoid disappointment.
