Moonlight Cottage is located at the foot of Dulan Mountain, a little house filled with the aroma of coffee and artistic culture, becoming a popular tourist destination due to the 2003 (92nd year of ROC) movie "Moonlight, I Remember" directed by Lin Zhengsheng. The second floor continues to preserve scenes used during filming, while the first floor is operated by the local art and humanities team "Gallery Nai-Auh Says Painting" as an artist’s exhibition space, hosting dynamic and static art and cultural events irregularly, drawing many visitors to experience the diverse, vibrant artistic culture along the east coast. The original construction of Moonlight Cottage was the administrative center of Dulan Forest Farm and the recreational center for government and teaching staff. Following a winding mountain path, visitors encounter fields, mountains, and bays along the way. Particularly notable is the irregular stacked stonework in the fields, evoking the origin of the name "Dulan-Atolan," recalling how the Ami ancestors, hundreds of years ago, endured hardships to develop the area, forming the terraced field scenery in the Dulan coastal mountain range. On the other side of Moonlight Cottage is the "Moonlight Café," featuring a unique, streamlined bar made from driftwood, combined with beautiful bark lamps and stained glass, enhancing the charm of Moonlight Cottage. In addition to selling various coffees, drinks, and handmade tea snacks, the café carries many arts and crafts created by local artists, as well as unique international items brought back by the operators, including music records, books, jewelry, and clothing. Travelers who come to Moonlight Cottage can enjoy breathtaking Dulan Bay while remembering to visit the café for a cup of aromatic coffee, gazing at the vast Pacific Ocean, and feeling the slow, special ambiance of Dulan in its gentle coastal breeze.
Access: Travel County Road 11 (Ta-11) through Dulan Village. At the 146.5 km mark, turn towards the mountains after seeing the signpost for the Dulan Ruins. Continue along the marker signs through the "Stone-Coffin Area" and "Rock Wall Area" for about 3–5 minutes to reach Moonlight Cottage.
