Fuyuan Observatory Platform is located on a highland and serves as a vantage point for viewing the scenery, offering an expansive 360-degree panoramic vista. The observation platform comprises a wooden deck and a pavilion. Standing at Fuyuan Observatory, one can gaze afar at Dulan Mountain and the arched entrance of Dulan Bay, and on a clear day, even Lutao Island can be seen in the distance. On the opposite side of the platform, the unique geographical landmarks of Pinan Creek, Xiaohuang Mountain, and Liji Badlands come into view, with scattered houses dotted across the plains. From this elevated vantage point, the landscape of Taitung's flatlands and the eastern coast unfolds magnificently, evoking a sense of human insignificance against the vastness of heaven and earth. If visiting during autumn or winter, visitors may have the opportunity to witness soaring top predators such as the Crested Serpent-eagle and Crested Goshawk in the sky.
