Crisis turned into opportunity, ecological indigo dye born. Zhanghu Elementary School, once on the brink of closure, faced a severe ecological crisis due to the invasive foreign plant *Hoya australis* (also known as small flower vine). After the dedicated efforts of National Yunlin University of Science and Technology and several indigo dye experts, they successfully established a handmade indigo dye service.
