The majestic and awe-inspiring religious holy site of Cao Hu Yu Zun Palace in Yilan County; located at an altitude of 150 meters, adjacent to San Xing Township, about 8 kilometers away from Luodong Town, and situated on the northwest side of Dongshan Township, on Cao Hu Mountain. Pilgrims from various areas may proceed from Luodong to San Xing (19.5 kilometers via County Road No. 7B), and then follow the mountain road to reach the site. Along the way, lush green mountains and shade are interesting; the scenery is pleasant and the atmosphere is refreshing. Along the route, the grand Yu Zun Palace can be seen standing proudly among the winding mountain ranges, with its natural beauty and charm, and the surrounding mountains converge, with layers of peaks covered in green, showing a majestic posture like a dragon and phoenix. On clear days, the distant Qiu Shan Island, suspended above the vast blue waves, looks like a sacred tortoise crawling towards the sky to offer blessings. Since the 32nd year of the Republic of China (1943), during the late stage of World War II, when the situation became increasingly intense, the villagers of Xing Jian in San Xing Township organized a "God Assembly" to jointly sculpt the image of the Supreme Deity, in order to pray for divine protection and to turn dangers into safety. The image of the Supreme Deity was consecrated and enshrined on October 25th, bringing blessings to the local people and becoming their spiritual support. Although Yu Zun Palace is only sixty years old, under the joint efforts of the elders and the previous committee members, its divine power is magnificent and its reputation is widespread; the grand temple is magnificent and its atmosphere is brilliant. Today, the main hall enshrines the Jade Emperor and the Jade Spirit Prince; the side hall enshrines the Emperor of the North Heaven, the Three Officials, the Eastern Immortal Lord, the Queen Mother of the Jade Pool, the Nine Heavens' Fairy, the Holy Emperor Guan, the Emperor of Literary Culture, the Lord of Fostering and Enlightening, the Southern Dipper Lord, the Northern Dipper Lord, and the Lord of Mercy and Salvation, among other deities, whose divine powers are magnificent and their blessings reach all the believers. Today, many virtuous people from various places come to pay homage, with incense smoke swirling and lingering, making it one of the important centers of faith in the Lanyang region.
