The Ts'ai family old house, which is nearly 190 years old, was built by the Ts'ai family ancestors who specially hired craftsmen from China to Taiwan. The 600-ping building area was constructed using building materials from China. The beams and pillars were made of Fuzhou fir, and the floors were laid with stones from Tangshan.
