After passing Sha Island, follow National Highway 26 to reach the Erjue Cape Park and its lighthouse. "Erjue" is derived from the Puyuma tribe's language meaning "sail," named after the nearby rock formations that resemble large sails. The cape itself, extending from Taiwan’s southernmost tip like a nose, inspired the name "Erjue Cape." Following the establishment of the Kenting National Park Management Office, the coral reef forest in front of the lighthouse was designated as the "Coral Forest Park," covering a wide area of 59 hectares. The park shelters over 20 types of tropical flora, contains unearthed prehistoric relics, and features the historic century-old lighthouse, making it a site well worth exploring.
