On March 12, 1992, Gongguan Construction formally signed a cooperation agreement with Japan's SOGO and began preparing for the store opening. The department store building was invested and constructed by Gongguan Construction, with a renowned architect hired to co-design it meticulously. Construction began on June 19, 1993, and the grand opening took place on November 11, 1995. Exclusive musical clock The exclusive musical clock brings in animated figures from around the world that sing clear and lively songs at every hour, welcoming all guests to Gongguan SOGO. Many parents also bring their children to the first-floor entrance to enjoy the delightful time brought by the cute animatronic figures from the musical clock.
