Zhiyun Pavilion is located in the Douliu Zhuweizi Industrial Park and serves as a branch of the Taiwan Textile Research Institute. Its mission is to promote Taiwan’s high-quality textiles, deepen textile design, and advance the servitization of manufacturing. Named “Zhiyun” (Weaving Clouds), the pavilion weaves the literal image of “clouds over Yunlin.” Weaving stands for tangible operations and rational expression; clouds symbolize the extension of dreams and emotional release. The underlying concept is to link reason and emotion to realize dreams. Through Zhiyun Pavilion, we want to tell you how good Taiwan textiles are, show you their excellence, bring you closer to them, and let you experience the wonder of textiles in everyday life. Zhiyun Pavilion officially opened on May 15, 2013, and visits are by appointment. It hosts occasional exhibitions and promotional events. Guided tours of the machinery clarify the textile manufacturing process, while detailed explanations acquaint the public with textile applications and fashion trends. Premium Taiwan-made products are collected for display and sale, offering the island’s competitive textile manufacturers a fresh marketing channel.
