Simplified Chinese: Worship of the Main Deity **Zhen Wu Da Di** Festival Date: Lunar March 3rd The temple was established in the 8th year of the Jiaqing reign, with offerings to the deities Xuan Tian Shang Di, Wen Heng Sheng Di, Shui Xian Wang, Liu Da Wang, and Tai Zi Ye, in order to pray for peace and prosperity in the area. It was rebuilt in the 63rd year of the Republic (1944). The temple’s “Qiu Gui” (turtle-pleading) activity is one of Penghu’s most famous folk traditions and can be visited during the Lantern Festival.
