The Wind Castle is located at the very tip of the Wind Castle Peninsula on the southwestern side of the main island of Penghu. It is connected to Lu-Lian Island by three narrow gorges, forming a land bridge. North of it faces the Ma‑gong Port and the Ma‑gong City center; to the northwest and west, it overlooks the Waterway and the islands of Si‑Jiao and Ji‑Long; to the southeast, one can see Hu‑Jing Island and Tuo‑Pan Island from afar. The sheltered area on the south side of the Wind Castle Peninsula is where the settlement is located, while to the north lies Shé‑Tou‑Shan, which strategically guards Ma‑gong Port. About 400 years ago, the Dutch built a fortress there, making it the earliest Western-style castle in Taiwan (the Dutch castle). Around the Wind Castle community are several small fishing ports. The beach in front of the Golden King Hall is the East Port, which serves as the port before entering the community. Because it is located in the inner sea, the northeastern side is called the Inner Port, and the fishery administration refers to it as the East Fishing Port, also known as the North Port; it is the largest fishing port in the village, with the deepest harbor waters. The fishing port built on the west side is called the West Port; before it was constructed, it was known as “Port Mouth.” The fishing port on the north side is called the “Back Port”; because a western harbor was built in the early days, it is also known as the Western Harbor Port. 【Suggested Length of Stay】 1 hour
