台北市士林區中山北路5段、福林路口東南側
Shilin Official Residence Park is located on the southeast side of the intersection of Zhongshan North Road Section 5 and Fulin Road, in the Shilin District. Surrounded by the Fushan mountain range, it covers an area of 9.28 hectares. The Shilin Official Residence was established in 1950, when the late President Chiang Kai-shek resided here. Because the president lived here, the surrounding area was strictly prohibited from renovation or new construction, allowing the official residence park to maintain its original natural scenery. The official residence park is mainly divided into the outer garden, inner garden, main house, greenhouse with orchid plantings, rose garden, Kai Ge Hall, Xin Lan Pavilion, and Ci Yun Pavilion. The inner garden is a traditional Chinese garden, featuring winding small bridges, flowing water, artificial hills, unique stones, and a red traditional Chinese pavilion. The outer garden is a Western-style garden, designed with velvet flower beds, richly planted with flowers, and is a breathtaking sight, serving as the theme area for the annual chrysanthemum exhibitions. The rose garden has over 200 rose varieties, with more than 4,000 rose plants. The blooming period is between November each year and April of the following year, with vibrant colors, and it is the place where Madame Chiang most enjoyed taking walks. Kai Ge Hall is where the Chiang family worshipped and was baptized. Xin Lan Pavilion was built in 1950 and is also known as the Shou Pavilion. It is a traditional Chinese four-cornered building, where the late president celebrated his birthday each year, and it is also the venue for various orchid exhibitions. Ci Yun Pavilion is built on Fushan Mountain, and it is a two-story square pavilion, built by the former president to commemorate his mother. The Shilin Official Residence Park was officially opened to the public in 1996. To provide better and more comprehensive services, it has actively strengthened various planning and development efforts, becoming another recreational attraction in the heart of Taipei City.
