Fulink Park is located at the intersection of Zhongshan North Road and Fulin Road in Shilin District. It was completed in 1991, covering an area of about 2.6 hectares, and has a triangular shape. It is an open comprehensive park.
The most distinctive feature of the park is a set of elegant artistic sculptures designed by Mr. Chih-wen Li, the head of the Department of Fine Arts at the National College of Arts. The sculptures, which include the sun, clouds, mountains, waterfalls, water, and wells, are created using abstract expressionism, transforming natural landscapes into three-dimensional forms with pictographic characters. Except for the 'water' sculpture, which is made of bronze, the other five are made of natural stone. These sculptures of nature run through the entire park, presenting a different visual landscape through changes in space and color. The visual effects and beauty vary when viewed from a distance or up close.
Fulink Park is just one street away from Shilin Official Residence Park. In 2009, the park was renovated to meet the surrounding parking needs and to accommodate the Li Keyong Memorial Library. The underground parking lot can accommodate 232 cars and 67 motorcycles, while the ground can park 10 tour buses. Not only does this provide convenience for visitors to Shilin Official Residence Park, but also for those who want to go up Yangming Mountain to see flowers or take a hot spring bath. They can park here and take a bus to go up the mountain easily, avoiding the trouble of traffic jams.
The park is covered with lush green grass, and walking through the green forest feels like being in a mountainous countryside. In the bustling city, such scenery has become rare. We invite you to take a visual journey here!
