“Sunset over the Oyster Fields” is a key scenic spot along the coast of Taizi Village in Kouhu Township. Apart from the existing Formosa Plastics Sixth Naphtha Cracker Plant in Mailiao, Yunlin County still plans to develop an offshore industrial zone in the future. Thus, the stretch of coast from Taizi in Kouhu to Jinhu will be the last remaining coastline in Yunlin County. Here visitors can watch the afterglow as the sun sinks in the west; the sunset is boundlessly beautiful, rosy clouds streak the sky, field after field of oyster beds shimmer, and bamboo rafts return home—together forming a gorgeous Taizi sunset that can only be described as breathtaking.
