The Taichung City Tun District Arts Center, one of the 12 flagship projects of the former Taichung County Government, was established to balance the cultural development of the mountain, sea, and Tun areas, and to take on the important responsibility of artistic and cultural development in the Tun district. With a vision to create a "Cultural City" in Greater Taichung, the center was officially established on July 1, 2010, as the Taichung County Tun District Arts Center. After the county and city merger on December 25, 2010, it was renamed the Taichung City Tun District Arts Center, and later changed to its current name on January 1, 2013, following organizational restructuring. The Tun District Arts Center focuses on performing arts and music, while also featuring art exhibitions and cultural promotion. In the future, it aims to actively host various artistic and cultural events from an art education perspective, combining teaching, community life, and promoting international cultural and artistic exchanges.
