The Penghu Recreational Park, located in the areas of Juanyuan, Dongwei Forest Land, and Tiannren Lake in Maokong City, Penghu County, covers a total area of 140 hectares. It is divided into northern and southern sections by County Road No. 204, extending from Dongwei Forest District in the north to Xingren Reservoir in the south. The park encompasses Juanyuan, Lotus Pond, Lotus Pond, an outdoor classroom for soil and water conservation, Tiannren Lake, Shuanglong Pond, Shuanghu Garden, vegetable garden wetlands, vegetable seedling nursery, and the banyan tree boardwalk. It also features a family lawn activity area and public toilets, providing visitors with comprehensive activity spaces and basic facilities. The park is a comprehensive, themed development that integrates ecological conservation, tourism, and recreation into a multifunctional large-scale area.
The park is lush with trees and greenery, planting cherry blossoms, cacti, lemons, and other species. It is currently divided into five zones: Forest Conservation Area, Water Source Conservation Area, Outdoor Classroom for Soil and Water Conservation, Vegetable Seedling Nursery, and Flower Sea Scenic Zone.
In recent years, the Penghu County Government's Agricultural and Fisheries Bureau, in collaboration with the spring season, has introduced a spring flower sea landscape featuring Persian daisies and lavender in the park. The colorful displays invite visitors to tour the flower sea, complementing the Dongwei Forest Road, Tiannren Lake, and Banyan Tree areas. The beautiful lake scenery in spring brings a unique new atmosphere of spring to Penghu.
