The Legend of Rural Leisure Farm is located in the Lake East Leisure Agriculture Area, Zhunan Township, Miaoli County. Its geographical location is relatively high and right above the Zhongshan North Highway Xihu Service Area. From within the garden, you can overlook the service area, which is said to be the most beautiful one across the nation. Further away, you can see the West Coast. The scenery at night is even more charming. Whether it's the busy traffic on the freeway, the crowds in the service area, the fishing boats on the sea, or the rural town with a thousand households' lights on, together with the insect chirps and birds' singing, you'll feel like everything is under your eyes. The beauty of Xihu can be seen here in one glance. The reason why it is named "The Legend of Rural" is due to its past. Twenty years ago, this place used to only have a bunch of Yuan Dan trees. The rest was nothing but desolation. Nine years ago, my wife and I got the idea to sort out this place. From the beginning of reclamation to the construction of every piece of grass, tree, brick and stone in the garden. The family gathered ideas and did all the work by ourselves. Over the years, it has allowed us to gather strength, and it has become our most beautiful dream. We hope that one day it can become a legend in this countryside. The rich ecosystem is a feature of the garden. You can see crickets, butterflies, frogs, and cicadas everywhere. There are over a hundred trees, including Taiwan two-leaf pine, maple trees, and Tung tree, which are over 40 years old, and they provide great shade in the summer. When you come here, you can drink hand-ground coffee and scented tea under the trees. You can also barbecue, dine with your family, and even come here to smell the fragrance of Yuan Dan flowers from late March to early April, taste the flower tea, and adopt Yuan Dan trees. From mid-April to mid-May, you can appreciate the white flowers of the Tung tree; from mid-May to mid-June, you can enjoy the golden Acacia tree flowers. In September, you can pick Yuan Dan fruits. The whole garden uses organic farming and does not spray any pesticides. You can eat and feel safe and healthy.
