Mingli Paragliding Takeoff Site is located 2 kilometers uphill from the village of Mingli, at an altitude of around 800 meters. The local area boasts a vast and unobstructed view, with an extensive flight zone stretching eastward to Hualien Creek, southward to Guandu, and northward to Fenglin. Notably, the site features strong yet consistent wind and stable air currents—once a flier takes off, they will immediately be carried by these currents to the top of the cloud layer. In addition, a ready-made training field already exists at the takeoff site, a unique advantage not commonly found in other high-altitude launch points. Beginners can first learn the technique of slope takeoff in the recreational area, and after gaining proficiency, they can easily progress to the Mingli Mountain high platform to fly with instructors, experiencing the thrilling sensation of soaring like an eagle above the clouds.
