Kaohsiung Guanshan Sea Beach is a must-visit when coming to Guanshan. Located along Temple Front Road and adjacent to the "Guanshan Coastal Park," its curved coastline extends over several kilometers with fine sand and clear seawater. The site is open year-round (closed only when weather conditions are poor on a given day), consistently attracting a large number of visitors seeking water activities. Many surfers and parasailing enthusiasts gather here to experience the thrilling fun unique to the seaside. On sunny summer days, walking along the soft sands of Guanshan and cooling off in the clear blue sea is a popular pastime. Beyond water activities, the area also offers scenic coastal trails, natural ecological zones, and off-road recreational areas. Even when the seaweed bathing area is closed during certain seasons, it remains a popular site for leisure activities and watching beautiful sunsets. The ocean coastline, palm trees swaying in the breeze, and the distant sight of ships and cargo vessels passing by offer a breathtaking panorama reminiscent of a foreign beach. As dusk approaches, the setting sun casts a warm glow across the sky, the sea sparkles with golden reflections, and waves roll continuously onto the shore. A romantic stroll along the beach with loved ones or a joyful family outing are common scenes here. Entry to Guanshan Sea Beach is free, and the site is equipped with complete amenities such as lifeguard systems, seawater showers, restrooms, and other public facilities. Visitors are kindly reminded to remain within designated safe zones for swimming and to prioritize their safety. The "Guanshan Black Sand Art Festival" is the highlight event at Guanshan Sea Beach. Since its inception in 2015, it has been held annually under different themes, featuring vibrant performances such as music concerts, beach volleyball competitions, and various street art performances. Each year, the festival attracts approximately a million visitors, successfully establishing Guanshan as a prominent brand in the Kaohsiung tourism industry. "The Harvest Goddess" sculpture titled "Wind Harvest - The Abundance" is installed at the Harvest Square nearby. Created by artist Liang Renhong, who specializes in large-scale kinetic art, this work is forged from stainless steel and painted. Standing 9 meters tall and 7 meters wide, the piece includes polished stainless-steel scales and a natural ventilation system, capable of rotating 360 degrees with the wind. The design depicts a maternal ocean goddess waving her arms gracefully. Liang Renhong's creative concept is that the wind-dancing arms symbolize the Ocean Goddess containing fierce storms and echoing fishers' joy at bountiful harvests. Within the energy of the ocean and wind, the red marker of the digital map lands precisely at Guanshan, revealing Guanshan to be not only a destination of dreams but also a starting point toward future happiness and abundance.
