The Shou Lu Trail, located beside the Song Mao tribe in Li Shan, was a hunting ground for hunters in the Song Mao tribe. The trail has preserved a very complete ecology and has a diverse and rich landscape, making it a secret scenic spot in Li Shan. The trail runs along the upstream of the Da Jia Stream, with a gentle slope and full of green shade, making it an easy and enjoyable trail to walk on. The Shou Lu Trail has different natural scenery throughout the seasons, with the autumn maple leaves being particularly stunning. The maple trees along the trail are dressed in their orange-red attire, adding romance to the journey. The trail also features a special natural pine needle carpet, formed by the accumulation of pine needles fallen from the surrounding pine trees over the years. The elastic ground feels like a carpet, which is quite unique. In addition, the Shou Lu Trail is also an important area for the conservation of wild animals such as the Formosan serow and the Sakhalin taimen, showcasing its diverse ecology. The trail is also known for its impressive columnar shale, similar to the columnar basalt in Penghu. The shale rock wall was formed by the compression of mountain-building movements and the long-term erosion of the Da Jia Stream, creating this breathtaking scenery and inspiring awe at the power of nature. The Shou Lu Trail has been the activity area of the Tayal tribe's Song Mao tribe from past to present, and the strong Tayal style can be felt everywhere. The trail features a Tayal tribe's house ruins over a hundred years old. Visitors can experience the beautiful and unique culture of the Tayal tribe by participating in traditional craft workshops and tasting local tribal cuisine.
