The Red‑tide mangrove area of Qiangong Creek is located at the outlet of Dianbao Creek in Ziguan District. Freshwater discharged from nearby fish ponds mixes with tidal seawater in the wetland, creating an environment that supports mangrove plants such as sea mangroves, water pen, and the precious five‑ridge pear. Because mangroves protect the coast, sustain water resources, and provide habitat for diverse organisms, they have profound ecological impact. Consequently, the government designated this area as a protected zone in 1992 and assigned management to Ke Liao Junior High School, planning it as a mangrove teaching park. The park features wooden boardwalks and observation decks with regular guided tours. Visitors can enjoy the tranquil scenery, observe mangrove species’ ecology, and birdwatch in this prime location.
