New Life Park was completed in 1978 and is located at the intersection of New Life Elevated Bridge, Minzu East Road, Songjiang Road, and Binjiang Street. The park covers an area of nearly 20 hectares. The park features a variety of facilities, including the New Life Warm Water Swimming Pool, baseball field, basketball court, and a "Maze Garden" that combines environmental protection concepts. In recent years, a new "Earth Travel Playground" has been added, providing a great place for adults and children to play, relax, and exercise. The park also features nine sculptures of different sizes, each with a unique name: "Leisurely Years," " auspicious and遍大地," "Crane Group," "Hope," "Flourishing," "Friendship and Peace," "Dad's Words," "Spring Forward," and "Unity." These sculptures add a rich cultural atmosphere to the park. In 2010, New Life Park was selected as one of the four exhibition areas for the Taipei Flower Expo, along with the adjacent Lin'an Tai ancient house. The park was designed as the "Dream Zone (New Life Park)" and "Tea Zone (Lin'an Tai ancient house)," connected to the Dajia Riverbank Park. A "Flower Tunnel - Green Building Trail" was created, featuring various flowers, trees, and bamboo structures. The Taipei Rose Garden is located within the New Life Park, which was originally an outdoor exhibit area of the 养生館. The park was renovated and planted with roses by the Taipei City Government's Public Works Department Park and Streetlight Engineering Management Office. In 2021, three new areas were added: "Colorful Rose Garden," "Breeder's Garden," and "Horticultural Plant Display Area." In 2022, a new "Secret Garden" was built, featuring a romantic heart-shaped water landscape, providing more opportunities for visitors to take photos. Due to its proximity to Songshan Airport, visitors can occasionally see airplanes flying low overhead. The combination of the park's beauty and the flying airplanes creates a unique scene. The annual Taipei Rose Show in March is not to be missed, featuring rose varieties from around the world. The exhibition area will also have various landscape designs and installations, making it an ideal destination for couples, families, and individuals to admire the flowers and enjoy the romantic atmosphere.
