Qilin Mountain Forest Park is located in the northern part of Jiayu Township, with an elevation of 119 meters, making it the highest point on the entire Jiayu Township island. Due to continuous warfare in the past, a military training range at Qilin Mountain was constructed in 1958 for war preparedness and military exercises. In 2009, the Qilin Mountain Target Range was decommissioned and converted for tourism and leisure use. The scenic view from Qilin Mountain Forest Park is excellent, offering a panoramic vista of the Jinmen Bridge and the Jilie Waterway. On clear days, visitors can glimpse high-rise buildings along the Xiamen coast and the landscapes of Datan and Ertan islands nearby. An observation deck has been established on the summit to allow hikers to rest and enjoy the scenery.
