Changhua County Designated Cultural Heritage Site Zhiyang Hall is a grand ancestral temple with a scale that retains the regional architectural style. It holds significant cultural and historical value for the locality, serving as a symbol of its era. The architecture itself combines styles from the Japanese Rule era and Han Chinese architecture, forming a classic building complex representing the Hakka encircling houses of Zhangzhou Pinghe. The main structure consists of two bays in the central hall and protective wings on both sides. The extended Hakka community maintains the original characteristics of Hakka culture. The main hall's shrine, a remnant from the Japanese administration period, possesses artistic and historical significance. Behind the central hall, an ancient well remains, highlighting the cultural context of the early settlement of Changhua Plain. Source: Changhua County Cultural Bureau.
