With a century-old heritage of locally produced fine oil, an experiential center was established in 2020. The Oil-Seed Academy’s guided “Door Market” brings together a retail space, the story of oil-making, and introductions to black sesame and peanut seeds. The second floor houses classrooms and a meeting room, offering agricultural education about oil production and hands-on DIY workshops. Adults and children alike can discover Fangyuan’s traditional industries and ecosystem through a fun perspective. DIY sessions must be reserved by phone; the second-floor oil-history tour is open only to group participants.
