The market is huge and full of the most authentic night market atmosphere. In terms of food, there are many old, well-established eateries that have been around for over 30 years. Ah-Wen Wonton and Salty Tangyuan, Wan-Li Meatballs, Oyster Omelets, and Papaya Milk are all classic flavors that locals have grown up eating. The prices are also more affordable compared to those in Taipei City, just a bridge away, making it a great place for foodies to come and try. The most famous wonton soup is made with pork bones simmered for hours, and is flavored with celery, red onion, and other ingredients.
