The Charm Golden Triangle Business District is located in the Longgang Zhongzhen area of Taoyuan City. It is named for the fact that its specialty stores and residents mainly originate from the滇缅 Golden Triangle region, as well as its geographical position at the intersection of Zhongli, Pingzhen, and Bade. The district is renowned for its distinctive culinary culture centered on the Chinese-Myanmar-Thai immigrant community. Although the original Zhongzhen New Village, the first base site of the retreating Chinese soldiers, has been demolished and replaced by new buildings, the remaining 400 traditional stalls at the Zhongzhen Market, over 50 Migan shops, the Flag House flag-raising ceremony, and the Yunnan Park folk music performances collectively continue the unique cultural characteristics of this area — a rich food culture, immigrant migration stories, and multicultural festivals.
The business district hosts two major regional festivals annually. The Longgang Migan Festival, held in April each year, showcases the diverse ethnic culture and cuisine of the Golden Triangle region, becoming the most distinctive and celebrated event in Taiwan. The second major activity is the National Day Carnival and Flag House Flag-raising Ceremony, along with the multicultural parade and Zhongzhen specialty market. This includes an extensive procession of Harley-Davidson motorcycles and over a thousand participants in traditional ethnic costumes, evolving into a major regional spectacle. In addition to these, the area's diverse ethnic music performances and a collection of cross-cultural restaurants have contributed to its consecutive recognition as the third-ranked business district in the National Charm Business District selection and the second-ranked in the Story Business District evaluation.
Established in 2022, the Foreign Land Story House showcases the poignant history of the Chinese soldiers' arduous struggles in defending the滇缅 border and protecting Taiwan Strait security. It serves as the district's most prominent cultural ambassador, linking over 50 Migan restaurants, Golden Triangle folk dance troupes, and the Zhongzhen New Village Cultural Park — which blends vintage charm with modernity — with the immersive historical experience offered by the Museum of Foreign Land Stories. Visitors are warmly welcomed for a six-sense exploration journey that awakens their taste buds, visual sensations, emotional connection, and cultural curiosity.
