Located at the junction of Fuxing Village and Huguang Village in Emei Township, Hsinchu County, Emei Lake boasts an expansive and picturesque landscape of lakes and mountains. It is also home to the nation's first water reservoir designed and constructed by Taiwanese people - the Dapu Reservoir. This site is rich in natural resources and cultural heritage, making it a popular tourist destination. The area is renowned for its rich cultural heritage and natural scenery. In the past, five suspension bridges were built across Emei Lake to facilitate transportation for nearby residents. Although only one, the Ximaopu Suspension Bridge, remains today, connecting the Shierliao Leisure Garden with Fuxing Old Street, it has become an iconic landmark. The bridge's towers decorated with tung flowers and the panoramic view of Emei Lake make it a must-visit spot for travelers. Take a stroll along the walking trails to experience the beauty of Emei Lake. Visitors can not only admire the lake's scenery from the suspension bridge but also walk along the lakeside trails, quietly observing the ecological habits of water birds such as egrets and night herons. The blooming of golden wind chimes in March and April and the migratory birds, including cormorants, during autumn and winter, create picturesque scenes. A section of the trail, "Uncle Yu's Bridge," was named in gratitude to Mr. Yu Jin-kui for his assistance in the trail's construction. There are many nearby attractions worth exploring. These include the Mila Buddha at the Daziran Cultural World, Fuxing Old Street with its preserved tea-making history, Shierliao Leisure Farm, and Shierliao hiking trails. These destinations are perfect for a visit after enjoying the beauty of Emei Lake.
