Built in the 8th year of the Jiajing era of the Ming Dynasty (1529), its elaborate decorations inside and outside the building are considered the finest among the ancestral halls in Kinmen. The roof ridges, gable walls, and water wheel blocks are all adorned with exquisite colored porcelain and clay sculptures. The brackets under the main beams are carved with the four words of the Cai family's ancestral rules: loyalty, filial piety, integrity, and righteousness. Many plaques are suspended in the main hall, indicating the family's noble status. A wind lion statue is embedded in the back wall of the building, which is a rare practice.
