The Shanlin Bridge is located on Highway 129 at the Nanzi River section, and together with Highway 29, it is one of the two major traffic routes between Shanlin and Jiaxian. The Shanlin Bridge was opened at the end of 2013, replacing the old bridge that was damaged in the Morakot wind disaster, and greatly shortened the travel time between the two sides of Nanzi River. The Shanlin Bridge has a span of 370 meters, a width of 9 meters, and a total length of 1180 meters including the approach roads. It is a non-deck type double-ribbed steel arch bridge. The white steel arch bridge spans across Nanzi River, and its gentle curves blend with the valley, distant mountains, and the rural streets of Shanlin, making it the most beautiful scenic bridge in Shanlin District.
