Located on Shuangxi Old Street, Lin Yi-Ho Traditional Chinese Medicine Pharmacy was built during the Qing Dynasty’s Tongzhi era. Founded in Shuangxi District by physician Lin Tsan-ting, the shop occupies a Western-style villa that still carries classical touches; the exterior is exquisite, and descendants continue to run the business here. It remains a well-loved, time-honored brand. Inside, traditional grinding tools are preserved, and the fourth-generation owner, as kindly as his forebears, welcomes visitors. The Qing-dynasty recipes for “Eight-Immortals Fruit” and preserved olives make perfect souvenirs, but please ask for permission before taking photos.
