Simplified Chinese, Japanese, English, Korean Ko Island is a natural small bay shaped like a crescent moon, serving as the port for early offshore operations in Qimei. Today, only a simple fishing harbor on the south side remains. Along the coastal road, passing the radar station, you can see the crescent-shaped bay at the sloping bend. The surrounding basalt terrain is developed, spectacular, and variable, with sea-erosion features everywhere. The geology here is mainly basalt, and the beach is formed from deposits of white coral fragments. The dark basalt contrasts sharply with the pristine white coral sand. The Ko Island splash area is the only splash zone on Qimei Island. Because Qimei is a zero-industrial island, the water is clean and clear, the coral is dense, and it boasts a rich and diverse marine ecosystem. The shallow water also makes it safer, and many tourists come here for snorkeling. Professional instructors lead visitors to observe the underwater ecology, allowing close encounters with tropical fish freely swimming among the dense coral—a must‑do experience when you visit. **Suggested stay time:** 1 hour
