Located in the Mingjian Township of Nantou County, the Songbaoling area offers a commanding view of the Zhangyun Plain, making it a strategically important location during times of war. The National Army established various sized artillery batteries in the area to serve as a defensive measure. In an effort to enhance the overall tourism development of the Bagua Mountain Scenic Area, this site has transformed the local features of the fort into an attraction, creating a new recreational experience. Within the tea-for-health area, the artillery positions have been greened, and the facilities have been incorporated with tea garden imagery, tea-tasting spaces, scenic resting facilities, military installations have been modified, existing buildings have been renovated, and the water tower has been transformed to resemble a teapot. This area is adjacent to the Tea Aroma Trail. Visitors can climb up to the fort and enjoy the panoramic view of the nearby tea gardens. The project not only utilizes the military sites but also combines local resources, the existing tea village scenery of Songbaoling, and the rich incense of the nearby Shigong Temple. By integrating these elements, the project aims to enhance the depth and breadth of religious tourism and tea garden sightseeing.
