The Iron Castle covers an area of about 4,500 square meters, with an outer wall imitating a city wall, approximately 5 meters high, completely isolating the fortress from the outside. As you enter the Iron Castle area, you will first come face to face with an M42 anti-aircraft gun. The tall city walls block the view of the fortress inside. The gate is inlaid with the red characters "Iron Castle," and the fortress experience begins here. The Iron Castle is mainly divided into upper and lower levels. The ground level includes a gun emplacement, Zhongshan Room, and a munition storage room, while the underground area includes five machine gun emplacements, two bedrooms, two munition storage rooms, one 57mm anti-tank gun, and a fire water pool. The underground tunnels run through the area, connecting various coastal defense outposts, and also linking to the Brave Castle. Visitors can directly walk from the Iron Castle to the Brave Castle, experiencing the past life of the soldiers underground.
