According to statistics, in recent years, the number of attendees for regular-season games of CPBL (Chinese Professional Baseball League) alone has repeatedly surpassed 400,000 annually, earning it the title of "Super Popular Stadium." Located within the airport MRT A19 Taoyuan Sports Park, the venue benefits from ideal accessibility with direct access from the MRT station. Surrounding areas feature basketball courts, softball fields, Qingpu Baseball Field, shopping malls, Taoyuan City Museum, and accommodation facilities, creating a multi-dimensional recreational hub. The baseball stadium spans approximately 4 hectares and is designed with one underground floor and three above-ground floors. Initially, it had only 12,000 inner-field seats in the bleachers; in 2012, following the hosting of the World University Baseball Championship, outer-field seating was added, increasing the total capacity to 20,000 seats, ranking it alongside the Kaohsiung Qijiang Lake Baseball Field as the stadiums with the most seats in Taiwan. To enrich the spectator experience, the stadium has introduced dedicated "Fun Watching Seats" (Rock Seat) at the first and third base sides, offering a unique, close-to-action atmosphere akin to a live concert. For group celebrations with friends, the VIP Lounge (VIP Suite) located in sections B (eastern inner seating) and J (western inner seating) under the inner field offers private spaces where you can cheer freely without restraint. The stadium's restaurant, "Rakuten Monkeys Happy Stir-Fry," exceeds casual sports diner expectations by providing outdoor dining options for watching games. During public holidays, special meal packages are available, such as鸳鸯 (mix and match) hot pot and premium barbecue, ensuring endless excitement during game days. Since 2020, Rakuten Taiwan officially took over the stadium as its base, establishing its team, "Rakuten Monkeys," as well as the official cheerleading squad, "Rakuten Girls." The stadium regularly hosts themed events throughout the year and invites renowned artists, including Mayday, Fire EX, Guns N' Roses, and BTS, to perform high-energy live concerts before games. Over the years, the venue has hosted a wide range of significant sports events—such as the CPBL regular season, Asian Baseball Championship, Asian Winter Baseball League, and the 12-team World Baseball Championship—as well as large-scale concerts by international artists.
