桃園市桃園區國際路一段863號
Number 1-4 ecological ponds feature a 350-meter circular trail, ecological water pools, log platforms, scenic pavilions, wooden boardwalks, and other water-related facilities, which not only preserve the ponds' original functions but also create natural spaces for visitors to connect with nature. Number 1-4 ecological ponds consist of two sections, the larger one being a fish pond that hosts unexpected fish species such as the Chinese loach (土鯽), tilapia (吳郭魚), Taiwan May bream (台灣梅氏鯿), silver carp (青魚), and common carp (鯉魚), among which the Mingtan goby (明潭吻蝦虎) is also present. For those interested in learning about them, fish rubbings with labels are displayed on the columns of the pavilion for reference. The other side of the fish pond is the ecological pool surrounded by cypress trees (落羽松), erica (海桐, also known as seven-mile fragrance), and willows (楊柳). Strolling along the winding trail around the pool offers a relaxing view of serene beauty, while standing on the wooden boardwalk might reveal herons flying gracefully low overhead, providing delightful surprises. During summer, the water's surface is also brightly adorned with water lilies, rivaling the aquatic birds in its vibrant splendor. Additionally, a tiered square adjacent to the pond serves not only as a spot to sit on and enjoy the scenery but also as a venue for small performances.
